We are all looking for a different way to feed our children their yogurt! I called Lucy at Lucy’s Kitchen to ask for some ideas one day when Justin got burnt out on having yogurt smoothies everyday. She gave me her homemade ice cream recipe. She also gave me another great tip that I believe alot of us have been happy with. Lucy recommended making your yogurt with half & half to cut back on the tart flavor.
When making the recipe below for the homemade ice cream I happened to taste it before we made the ice cream and we even thought the yogurt tasted really good with just the honey and vanilla added to it. Hope your child enjoys the following recipe and I attached a few other websites below I saw some other ice cream recipes, but I have not tried those yet. Let us know how you like it!
LUCY’S HOMEMADE VANILLA ICE CREAM
1/3 cup honey
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla (Justin wanted to be able to taste the vanilla flavor so I put 2 Tbls. vanilla)
Make according to the directions of your homemade ice cream machine.
