Coconut Aminos

Below are pictures of the Coconut Aminos I use for recipes I have made in the Against All Grain Cookbook. I found this at a small health food store near my house.

Coconut Aminos is a soy-free sauce, containing 17 amino acids, and is dark, rich, and salty. It resembles soy sauce. It is made simply from raw coconut tree sap and sun-dried sea salt, and naturally aged. It’s used for salad dressings, marinades, dipping sauces, recipes, and as a seasoning for toasted nuts and seeds. Coconut Aminos have a salty flavor with a slightly, just barely, sweet aftertaste.

  1. thank you! i kept meaning to look those up. planning on making the sesame chicken tonight so i will see if i can find coconut aminos somewhere. will let you know how it turns out!

  2. Believe if you check with the moderators on BTVC-SCD list serve they will tell you coconut tree sap is SCD illegal. Would be considered a risk for SCD newbies, possibly something for SCD-plus and SCD advance people. J

    • Thanks for the tip. U might try contacting Against All Grain author Danielle and ask her about this. Her cookbook is the first time I have seen an SCD recipe with this.
