I know alot of you moms are doing the recipe for a teenage child. I don’t know about your teenager, but my two teenagers are into the “Coffee”/Starbucks thing. Justin, my 13 year old on the SCD Diet wants to be like everyone else and drink a coffee drink, too. And I know some of you moms are on the diet with your children and this might be great for you as well!
I came across the “Buttered Coffee” recipe last week and tried it for Justin. He liked it alot! I took a taste and thought it was good. I made the Latte recipe today and Justin and I both had one and I was shocked! If you had made it for me and I didn’t know what you put in it I wouldn’t have known the difference from the iced coffee I used to drink at McDonalds! We really liked it!
I looked and looked to find the link where I got the Buttered Coffee recipe, but didn’t find the exact recipe I used. Below is my jotted down recipe I wrote down and used.
1 cup Coffee (I used my Kurig and used medium roast)
1 Tbsp Coconut Oil
1 tsp butter
1/4 tsp vanilla
Combine all ingredients while coffee is hot and blend in blender for 30 seconds until creamy and frothy.
(I might double the coconut oil, butter, and put 1 teaspoon of vanilla next time. I like vanilla in my coffee and I usually drink my coffee more milky white than black anyway.)
